I wake up still feeling exhausted
to the incessant buzzing of my alarm.
I stare at the ceiling above my bed,
wrapped in the blankets to keep warm.
The incessant bleeps of the alarm
are begging me to rise and shine.
but the blankets are so very warm;
I hit snooze as I still have time.
The alarm tells me to rise and shine.
I stare at the ceiling above my bed.
There is no longer any spare time,
but I am still feeling exhausted.
