Mistakes

We live like a cat who pounced on a leaf,
at first mistaking it to be a mouse
but who kept eating it, chewing away,
tasting the bitter, dry plant in his mouth.
He could stop any time and admit he was wrong;
what is bad for the pride is often good for the health.
